Hi, my name is Sharon. I am a registered BAS agent, QuickBooks and Xero certified and have more than 20 years experience as a tax accountant and business owner. I have the skills and knowledge to help you with your business compliance and cash flow management and can provide a quality, specialised service for an affordable monthly fee.
Growing up in England, I was fascinated by my Dad's stories of how he managed his small engineering business. This sparked my interest in business and, along with a love of maths and numbers, lead me to pursue a career in accountancy.
At the age of 23, I moved to the Perth Hills and embarked on a rewarding career as a tax accountant. For over 20 years I dedicated myself to supporting many business owners with their tax and accounting needs. Additionally, I spent 9 years as a partner in a printing business, where I managed all financial aspects of the business. These roles have provided me with extensive experience in business bookkeeping, payroll, related tax issues and financial management.
I starting BAS and Bookkeeping Assistance in 2018 so that I could specialise in helping small business owners to keep up to date, accurate business records and to reduce their stress around meeting ATO reporting requirements for GST and payroll.
I feel passionate about helping business owners to save time on their business record keeping and compliance whilst gaining a better understanding of how their business is performing.
As a BAS agent registered with the Tax Practitioners Board, a tax I am required to meet ongoing relevant experience and education requirements to keep up with industry changes. I am also required to comply with the Tax Practitioners Board professional code of conduct, to act lawfully in your best interests, to be professional, honest, independent, competent and to have insurance.
Having used QuickBooks and Xero software extensively over a number of years I have a gained a sound understanding of the core features. I have also completed the training courses and keep up to date with changes in the technology.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, keeping fit, cooking, camping, relaxing with family and friends and keeping up to date with relevant issues relating to small business.
I pride myself on being honest, reliable and competent, work flexible hours from my home office in Kalamunda and strive to provide a professional, personalised service, tailored to suit your needs. This is designed to take the stress and worry out of your record keeping and to provide valuable information to support you in running your business
